Energy-efficient Lighting
Energy-efficient lighting is a type of lighting which uses significantly less energy than traditional lighting, while providing the same or better illumination. It can reduce energy costs by up to 80%, when used instead of traditional lighting, and is a great way to reduce overall energy consumption. These types of lighting can be used in both residential and commercial applications, and can be found in a variety of shapes, sizes, and designs. The most common type of energy-efficient lighting is LED (light-emitting diode) lighting, which produces light through the movement of electrons within a semiconductor material. LEDs are long-lasting, require less maintenance than traditional bulbs, and are much more energy-efficient. When choosing energy-efficient lighting, look for lights that are rated for energy efficiency, such as the Energy Star rating system, to ensure you get the most efficient lighting available.
