Hydrocortisone
Hydrocortisone is a glucocorticoid steroid hormone. It has many uses in humans, including reducing inflammation and suppressing the immune system, as well as treating certain skin and eye conditions. Hydrocortisone is often used topically, in the form of creams, ointments, and lotions, to treat a variety of skin and eye conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and allergies. It is also available in oral and injectable forms and is used to treat more severe conditions such as asthma, arthritis, and autoimmune diseases. Its anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties make hydrocortisone an important drug in the treatment of many diseases and disorders.
