Glycolysis
Glycolysis is the process by which glucose is broken down into two three-carbon molecules, producing energy in the form of ATP. This energy is essential for extending the life of cells and maintaining proper functioning. Glycolysis is the first step in cellular respiration and plays an important role in many metabolic processes. This process is crucial in the production of energy and helps to ensure that the body has the necessary energy to carry out its daily activities. Glycolysis is also important in anaerobic exercise, providing energy at a faster rate than aerobic respiration.
