Epidemiology

Epidemiology is the study of how diseases are spread and the factors that influence their frequency in different populations. It is an important tool to identify and assess the burden of disease in a population and to identify the underlying causes of a disease. It can be used to inform public health interventions, to identify and address health disparities, to measure the impact of healthcare activities, and to investigate outbreaks of infectious diseases.
