Endocrine Cells
Endocrine cells are specialized cells that produce and secrete hormones, chemical messengers that are carried by the bloodstream to target organs and tissues throughout the body. Endocrine cells are found in glands and other organs and help to regulate processes such as growth, metabolism, reproduction, and development. Endocrine cells play a key role in maintaining homeostasis and enabling a smooth functioning of the body.
