Delayed Puberty

Delayed puberty is an endocrinological disorder characterized by a delay in the normal physical and sexual maturation processes associated with puberty. It is caused by a disruption in the normal secretion of hormones responsible for the development of secondary sexual characteristics and reproductive organs. Delayed puberty can cause significant physical and psychological distress, as well as long-term health complications. Treatment typically involves hormone therapy to supplement the body’s production of hormones, but the treatment plan can vary based on the cause. Delayed puberty is an important medical disorder, as the development of the reproductive system is vital for healthy and successful reproduction.
