Deformans (paget's Disease of Bone)
Deformans, or Paget's Disease of Bone, is a chronic condition characterized by the excessive breakdown and re-formation of bone tissue. This can cause the bones to become weak and deformed, leading to bone pain and increased risk of fractures. If left untreated, it can also cause damage to joints and organs, as well as neurological complications. Treatment involves controlling the underlying cause, as well as lifestyle modifications, medications, and in some cases, surgery. Early diagnosis and treatment can help improve symptoms and reduce the risk of long-term complications.
