Adiponectin
Adiponectin is a protein hormone produced by fat cells that is involved in regulating several metabolic processes, including energy balance, lipid metabolism and glucose regulation. It has been found to be associated with insulin sensitivity, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular diseases. Its uses in medicine include helping to manage and diagnose metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and obesity.
