Model Organisms
Model organisms are experimental organisms that scientists use to gain insights into biological processes. Model organisms, such as yeast, fruit flies, worms, and certain mammals, can be easily studied in the laboratory and are widely used to provide insight into human health and diseases. They provide a powerful tool to improve our understanding of the genetic basis of health and disease, and to generate and evaluate new treatments. Model organisms are also used in drug development, environmental studies, and other areas of scientific research. This research helps us to identify and understand the underlying mechanisms of human health and disease.
