Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis is the process of a species undergoing profound changes in structure and form, typically as it transitions from an immature to an adult stage. It is a common phenomenon in the animal kingdom, particularly in insects, amphibians, and other invertebrates. Metamorphosis is critical for the growth, development, and survival of the species. By changing their body shape, composition, and size, animals can adapt to the demands of the environment, enabling them to increase their chances of survival and reproduction. Metamorphosis also plays a key role in the food chain, as the changing body structures of the species are integral in maintaining the balance of life.
