Human Developmental Biology
Human Developmental Biology is the study of the processes by which organisms grow and change from a single cell to a fully developed body. It examines the sequence of events that take place to form an individual as well as the different stages of development: embryonic, fetal, infancy, childhood, and adulthood. Developmental Biology is a key field of biological research, and its findings have applications in a number of areas, from basic research to medical practice. It's fundamental to the understanding of diseases and disorders, stem cell research, tissue engineering, and organ transplantation, as well as prenatal and pediatric care. It is also important to evolutionary biology, medical genetics, and the study of aging. By exploring the foundations of human development, researchers strive to improve our understanding of the human body, ultimately aiding in the advancement of medical treatments and therapies.
