Embryonic Stem Cells
Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) are cells derived from the early stages of a human embryo that have the unique ability to generate all the cell types of the body. They are an important tool in medical research as they enable researchers to study the biological processes that drive development and disease as well as providing a source of cells to be used in the development of treatments and therapies. Furthermore, they provide an invaluable source of cells to replace and repair damaged or diseased tissue, organs, and cells. ESCs have the potential to revolutionize medicine and are thus the focus of much current research.
