His research contributions center on autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, pathogenesis of acute renal cell injury, hypertension and diabetic nephropathy, and renal and hormonal control of body fluid volume in cirrhosis, cardiac failure, nephrotic syndrome, and pregnancy.
