- Pippa Bark-Williams is interested in the relationship of patient safety and informatics.
- She teaches on UCL's MSc in Informatics and runs the patient safety module and the masters dissertation programmes.
- She has published qualitative research including a thematic review of electronic patient records, interviews and focus group studies in patient safety areas, and a book on Patient safety law policy and practice.
- Her past research work focused on the psychological issues in patient safety and included topics such as patients' and clinicians' attitudes to complaints and litigation, the causes and consequences of junior doctors' mistakes and work in obstetrics, surgery anti-coagulation services and diabetes.
