- Naiyang Guan is an associate professor with the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) of China. His research interests are artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data mining. He has published more than forty scientific papers on top-tier journals such as IEEE T-PAMI, T-IP, T-NNLS, T-SP, Neurocomputing, Genes, BMC Genomics, and top-tier conferences such as ICDM, IJCAI, ECCV, IJCNN, PAKDD, ICONIP, and ICASSP. He has won the best paper award of the ECCV 2014 VeCTaR workshop.
- He is a member of IEEE and CCF. He has severed for several top-tier journals including IEEE T-PAMI, T-IP, T-NNLS, T-KDE, T-SP, T-CYB, and ACM T-KDD, PR, and severed for Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering as the guest editor of a special issue. He has severed for several top conferences including IEEE CVPR, IJCAI, ICPR, ICIP, ACCV, and severed for ICPR 2016, ICMLA 2016, SMC 2016, ICME 2017, IJCAI 2017, ICMLA 2017 as a PC member.
- He got the Bachelor, Master, and PhD degrees from NUDT at 2004, 2006, and 2012, respectively. He has visited the Nanyang Technical University (NTU) of Singapore and the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) of Australia at 2009 and 2012, respectively. He has been awarded as the NUDT outstanding PhD doctoral thesis of 2012, the PLA outstanding PhD doctoral thesis of 2014, the CCF outstanding PhD doctoral thesis of 2014, the third-class personal merits at 2015, and the first prize of the 2016 NUDT youth innovation award.
