Research Interests:

  • Regulation of expression of genes involved in pancreatic beta cell survival.
  • Oxidative stress in the pathogenesis and progression of diabetes and its complications.
  • Natural products with potentially beneficial effects in both prevention and treatment of diabetes.
  • Mechanisms of environmental contaminants toxicity.
