Heroin

Heroin is an opioid drug derived from morphine. It is highly addictive and is one of the most widely abused illicit drugs in the world. Heroin produces an intense euphoric effect and plays an important role in the opioid epidemic. Heroin use can lead to significant health complications including overdose, heart and lung infections, and liver damage. Heroin is used primarily as an illegal recreational drug, but it also has medical applications in pain relief and as a substitute for other opioids.
