Epigenetic Therapy
Epigenetic therapy is a rapidly growing field of medicine which investigates and uses changes in gene expression caused by modifications in the packaging of DNA in cells as a method to treat diseases or disorders. These modifications can be caused by environmental factors, such as exposure to certain chemicals, or lifestyle habits, such as diet and exercise. By leveraging these changes, therapies can be developed to target and switch on specific genes to potentially treat or prevent the onset of diseases ranging from cancer to neurodegenerative disorders. By utilizing this approach, epigenetic therapy has the potential to revolutionize the treatments of these diseases and revolutionize how we think about and manage health.
