Transfection

Transfection is a process in which foreign genetic material is introduced into a cell. This process is used to study gene functions and manipulate the cell's genome. For example, it can be used to introduce new genes into the cell or to knock-out existing genes. This is important for understanding cell biology, as well as for developing gene and cell-based therapies for diseases like cancer. Transfection has become an essential tool for biomedical and biotechnological research.

DNA, is like a blueprint of biological guidelines that a living organism must follow to exist and remain functional. RNA, helps carry out this blueprint's guidelines. RNA is more versatile than DNA, capable of performing numerous, diverse tasks in an organism, however DNA is more stable and holds more complex information for longer periods of time.
