Synthetic Promoters
Synthetic promoters are specialized molecules engineered in a laboratory setting to control the expression of proteins. These promoters are used in gene-editing tools to help researchers target specific sequences of DNA, which can then be used to insert, delete, or manipulate genetic information. By using synthetic promoters, researchers can micro-manipulate gene expression and study specific gene functions as well as their subsequent consequences. Synthetic promoters are important tools in gene therapy, biotechnology, and drug development, among other related fields. They can be used to create novel proteins with improved therapeutic effects, as well as to modify existing proteins to increase the efficiency of pharmaceuticals.
