Nucleosome Mapping

Nucleosomes are the building blocks of chromatin, which is the material that makes up our chromosomes. Nucleosome mapping is a technique used to identify and characterize the arrangement and positioning of nucleosomes along the length of a chromosome. This information helps us to understand how DNA is organized in the cell and how gene expression and regulation is controlled. In the field of personalized medicine, nucleosome mapping can be used to study genome-wide variations in DNA sequence, thus providing insight into genomic variation in diseased and healthy populations. In addition, it has potential applications in disease diagnosis, therapy selection, and cancer prevention.
