Progressive Disease
Progressive disease is a form of long-term degenerative illness that worsens over time. It can affect any part of the body, including the brain and other vital organs, and can have a major impact on an individual’s quality of life. It is important to note that not all forms of progressive disease are terminal and some may be managed with medical intervention. Common causes of progressive disease include aging, genetic mutations, and virus infections, and the effects can include a decrease in physical and cognitive abilities, pain and discomfort, and even death in some cases. Treatment options for progressive diseases include medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes to help improve symptoms and slow the progression of the disease.
