Leprosy

Leprosy is an infection caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium leprae, which affects mainly the skin, mucosa, and nervous system. It leads to discoloration, ulcers, and sensory loss in the affected area. Leprosy is an ancient disease and while it is now rare in most parts of the world, it still affects many people in developing nations.
