Genomics
Genomics is the study of the entire genetic material of an organism, including the sequencing, assembly, and analysis of its DNA. It is playing an ever increasing role in understanding the structure, function and evolution of genomes, as well as in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of disease. Genomics is also used in a wide range of other scientific, agricultural and industrial applications, such as developing new products, food production and personalized medicine. Genomics research is helping to drive advances in fields such as healthcare, agriculture, and biotechnology, thus improving the quality of life for people around the world.
