Fusobacteria
Fusobacteria are gram-negative bacteria that are found in the oral cavity, gastrointestinal tract and female genital tract. These bacteria can cause infections, such as ulcers, abscesses and periodontal disease, and can also be associated with certain types of cancer. Fusobacteria are also important in the environment, as they are known to be involved in the cycling of carbon and nitrogen. They have also been used in bioremediation processes to help remove pollutants from soils and water. Fusobacteria are important for both human health and the environment, as they have a significant role to play in both.
