Ebola
Ebola is a deadly virus that causes fever, severe bleeding, vomiting and severe diarrhea in people and other primates. It is considered to be one of the most dangerous viruses known to mankind, as it has a mortality rate of up to 90%. Ebola is spread through direct contact with an infected person or animal's bodily fluids, and can also spread through contact with contaminated objects or infected animals. Vaccines and treatments are not yet available, but research is ongoing. The most effective way to prevent infection is to avoid contact with infected people or animals, and to follow proper hygiene procedures. Understanding the virus and its transmission is critical to preventing and controlling outbreaks, and ultimately finding a cure.
