Dermatology Burns
Dermatology Burns are skin injuries caused by heat, chemicals, electricity, sunlight, radiation or other factors. They cause inflammation, pain, swelling and tissue damage and can range from minor superficial injuries to life-threatening conditions. Treatments vary according to the severity of the burn, but may include topical creams, pain relievers, antibiotics and hydration to promote healing. Surgery may also be necessary to treat infected or more serious burns. Proper diagnosis and treatment of burns are essential for preventing long-term damage to the skin.
