Gallbladder
The gallbladder is a pear-shaped organ located underneath the liver in the upper right part of the human abdomen. It stores and concentrates bile, a digestive liquid produced by the liver. Bile aids in the digestion of fats and fatty acids, and is important for healthy absorption of nutrients. It helps break down fat-soluble vitamins, including vitamins A, D, E, and K. In addition, it aids in the removal of toxins from the body. The gallbladder also helps regulate the amount of bile released into the intestine, allowing for proper digestion. Without the gallbladder, the body would not be able to absorb and process fat-soluble vitamins, nor would it be able to efficiently remove toxins from the body.
