Food Digestion
Food digestion is the process of breaking down food into small molecules to be absorbed into the body. Digestive enzymes, such as those produced in the stomach, works to break down carbohydrates, proteins and fats into simpler forms to be then absorbed into the bloodstream. Digestion is a critical part of maintaining good health as it allows the body to obtain the essential nutrients it needs to function. Poor digestion can lead to various health problems such as malabsorption, nutrient deficiencies, digestive issues and more. Taking steps to ensure proper digestion, such as eating a balanced diet, drinking plenty of water and getting regular exercise, can help to improve digestive health.
