Wound Oximetry

Wound Oximetry is a non-invasive medical technology used to measure wound oxygen levels in order to identify and treat chronic wounds. It utilizes an optical sensor placed directly on the wound, which then sends data to a computer for analysis. The data is used to assess wound healing, tissue damage, and identify potential risk factors of infection. Wound Oximetry is beneficial because it helps clinicians to monitor wound healing progress and adjust medical treatments as needed, as well as to detect potential infection and other factors that may impede wound healing. It is also beneficial for patients with chronic wounds, as it helps to ensure optimal wound healing and provides peace of mind.
