Telogen Phase

The Telogen phase is the final stage of the hair cycle and the stage at which new growth stops. This phase typically lasts around three months, during which time the hair does not grow and it may shed. After this phase has ended, the growth cycle resumes with the Anagen phase. The Telogen phase is crucial for the regulation of hair growth and for the maintenance of healthy hair. It is also important for understanding how different external factors can affect the normal hair cycle, and how this can result in hair loss or hair thinning. The Telogen phase is therefore a key factor in the treatment of hair loss and other related conditions.
