Sweat Glands
Sweat glands, also known as sudoriferous or eccrine glands, are specialized structures located in the skin that produce and secrete fluid known as sweat. This fluid helps to regulate the body temperature by cooling down the skin and releasing heat as it evaporates. Sweat glands also play an important role in excreting toxic substances and wastes from the body. As such, they help maintain a healthy balance of electrolytes in the body, which is essential for proper bodily functions. In addition, sweat glands are also responsible for the production of hormones and pheromones, which can affect human behavior.
