Subcutaneous Injections
A subcutaneous injection is a type of injection that delivers medicine or other substances into the tissue just below the skin. This method of administration is commonly used to inject vaccines, hormones, and insulin, as well as other medications. Subcutaneous injections are well tolerated and typically cause minimal or no discomfort. The relatively slow release of medicine into the body allows for the body to adjust to the medication more slowly, which can limit adverse side effects. Subcutaneous injections are highly effective and provide an efficient way to deliver medications without the need for intravenous injections or oral medications.
