Scars
Scars are fibrous tissues that form as part of the body’s natural healing process. They replace damaged skin, connective tissue, and muscle after an injury or surgery. Scars are permanent but can be managed with medical treatments and lifestyle changes. The appearance of a scar depends on many factors such as the type of injury or surgery, the person’s age, and the body’s healing process. With proper management, scarring can be minimized and their appearance improved. Scar management treatments include medication, laser therapy, and tissue fillers.
