Rosacea
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that is characterised by redness and inflammation of the face. It can affect the eyes, nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead, as well as cause other symptoms, including small red bumps and pimples. It most commonly affects fair skinned adults aged 30-50, though it can occur at any age and can affect anyone. Rosacea is often treated using topical and oral medications, such as antibiotics and anti-inflammatory agents, in combination with lifestyle changes, such as avoiding triggers and practising good skin care. Rosacea's severity can range from mild redness to extreme facial disfigurement, and its cause is not known. Awareness of this condition, early diagnosis, and proper treatment is important in order to reduce the long-term symptoms and help those affected feel more confident about their appearance.
