Plaque Psoriasis

Plaque psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition characterized by raised, red, scaly patches of skin. It is the most common type of psoriasis, affecting up to 80% of people with the condition. Plaque psoriasis can occur anywhere on the body, usually on the arms, legs, scalp and trunk, but can also affect the nails, joints, and even the face. Treatment of plaque psoriasis may include topical ointments, steroid creams, light therapy, and oral medications. It is important to work with a doctor to find the best treatment plan to manage the symptoms and keep the skin clear.
