Phototherapy
Phototherapy, also known as light therapy, is a medical treatment that uses specific types of light to treat skin conditions and certain other conditions. It involves exposing the skin or eyes to an artificial light source, usually a fluorescent light or laser, for a certain amount of time each day. Phototherapy has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of skin disorders, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, jaundice, vitiligo, and atopic dermatitis. It can also be used to treat seasonal affective disorder, jet lag, and other medical conditions. Phototherapy is a safe and non-invasive therapy that has the potential to reduce the need for more costly treatments, while also reducing the risk of adverse side effects.
