Nosocomial Infections
Nosocomial infections are a type of infection that occurs in a hospital or other healthcare setting. These infections are caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi that can spread from person to person or from inanimate objects, such as medical equipment and supplies. These infections can lead to serious illnesses and even death. In order to reduce the spread of nosocomial infections, medical staff and patients must follow strict hygiene protocols, such as proper hand washing and the use of protective clothing and equipment. Additionally, proper disinfection techniques must be used to reduce the spread of bacteria and other microorganisms. By reducing the spread of nosocomial infections, healthcare providers can improve the safety of their patients and prevent the spread of disease.
