They are located throughout the body, including the skin, gastrointestinal tract, salivary glands, and pancreas. These glands are essential in many bodily processes, including digestion and sweating. They produce hormones, enzymes, and other substances that are essential for the body to function effectively. Exocrine glands are essential for the body to be able to carry out its daily activities, and any disruption to their functioning can cause serious health problems.
