Excretion
Excretion is a process in which metabolic waste products are removed from the body. These waste products are produced through the metabolic pathways in the body and are the byproducts of normal life processes, such as breathing and digestion. Excretion is a vital process as it keeps the body's systems balanced and healthy. The body excretes waste like urea, salts and uric acid through the kidneys and sweat glands, which help rid the body of toxins. Waste also is removed through the bowels and lungs. By eliminating these toxins and waste, excretion helps to maintain the body's homeostasis and prevent illness. Apart from excretion, maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle can also reduce the amount of waste products produced.
