Dry Skin

Dry skin is a common skin condition which occurs when there is a lack of natural oils in the skin resulting in a tight, itchy, and sometimes flaky appearance. It can be caused by environmental conditions, such as spending too much time in dry or heated air, or due to certain medical conditions. Proper skin care is important in order to minimize dry skin and its associated symptoms. This includes frequent moisturization, limiting exposure to hot or dry environments, and avoiding harsh soaps and detergents. Treatment may also include specific creams, lotions, and other products specially designed to soothe dry skin.
