Dermatitis
Dermatitis is a broad term used to describe a group of skin conditions characterized by inflammation and irritation of the skin. Symptoms vary depending on the type of dermatitis, but can include redness, itching, blisters, dryness, and scaly or cracked skin. Dermatitis is often caused by irritants or allergens, such as strings or other fabrics, soaps, detergents, and certain foods. Treatment depends on the type of dermatitis and may include avoidance of triggers, the use of topical creams or ointments, or in some cases, taking oral medications or receiving light therapy. Early treatment is important to reduce the risk of long-term skin damage.
