Carcinomas
Carcinomas are a type of cancer that develop from epithelial cells, which form the lining of organs, glands and other body structures. They are the most common type of cancer and can be found in many areas of the body, including the skin, lungs, breast, prostate and colon. Carcinomas typically start in a single organ and can then spread to other areas of the body. Carcinomas are highly treatable if detected early, and can often be cured with surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, targeted therapies or a combination of treatments. Early detection is key, as it can help to reduce the risk of the carcinoma becoming more aggressive and difficult to treat.
