Blisters

A blister is a raised, fluid-filled bump that forms on the skin’s surface. They are most often caused by friction or an injury to the skin. They can also result from certain medical conditions or treatments, such as infections, allergies, and burns. Blisters can be painful and are often uncomfortable. When they occur, a person should take steps to care for the blister properly, as improper care can lead to infection. Blisters can form on any area of the body and are typically filled with serum, blood, or pus. Proper blister care can help heal the area and prevent infection. Blisters can also be used to aid in the diagnosis of conditions, such as skin cancer and psoriasis.
