Biopsy

A biopsy is a medical procedure in which a small sample of tissue is taken from the body for testing. It is an important diagnostic tool used to diagnose illnesses and diseases, as the results from the sample can provide useful information about the condition. For example, a doctor may use a biopsy to determine if cancer cells are present in an area of the body. The biopsy sample is examined under a microscope, which allows the doctor to diagnose the condition and determine the best possible treatment. In addition to its use in diagnosis, a biopsy may also be used to determine the effectiveness of certain therapies or to monitor the progress of a disease.
