Acne

Acne is an inflammatory skin condition that affects many people during their puberty. It is characterized by the formation of lesions known as pimples on the face, chest, back, and other parts of the body. Acne is caused by an overproduction of sebum, a type of oil produced by the sebaceous glands. Aside from being an aesthetic concern, acne can lead to psychological distress, temporary scarring, and other skin problems. Fortunately, it can be managed with proper skin care and the use of topical and oral medications. Early treatment can reduce the risk of permanent scarring and improve the overall acne condition.
