Tension-type Headache
Tension-type Headache (TTH) is a common form of primary headache. It is characterized by a dull, generalized headache with a pressing or tightening sensation across the forehead, temples, sides of the head, and/or the back of the neck. It can last from 30 minutes to 7 days, and typically does not cause significant interference with activities. TTH is often treated with lifestyle modifications such as avoiding certain triggers, relaxation techniques, and stress management. In more severe cases, pain relief medications or other treatments may be recommended. Improved understanding of the causes of TTH and improved treatments have the potential to improve millions of lives.
