Suicide

gene therapy Suicide gene therapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses genes to attack and kill cancer cells. It involves delivering a gene to a tumor that makes that tumor cell commit “suicide” when exposed to a particular chemical or drug. By targeting only cancer cells, it helps reduce the risk of damaging healthy cells. This form of gene therapy has been used to successfully treat some types of cancers and is being explored as a potential treatment for other forms of cancer as well.
