Panic Disorder
Panic disorder is an anxiety disorder characterized by experiencing repeated episodes of panic and fear, which can result in feelings of helplessness and the need for quick escape. It involves physical symptoms such as rapidly increasing heart rate, sweating, and shake, as well as mental symptoms like fear of dying, feeling of depersonalization, and intense anxiety. Panic disorder can significantly affect one's quality of life, interfering with activities like work and social life. Treatment for panic disorder typically consists of psychotherapy and/or medications, such as antidepressants and anti-anxiety medicines. Treatment approaches are aimed at reducing the severity and frequency of symptoms and helping the individual manage the disorder.
