Interferon Therapy
Interferon therapy is a type of immunotherapy used primarily to treat diseases such as cancer, chronic viral infections and multiple sclerosis. It works by stimulating the body’s own immune system to attack disease-causing cells. In particular, interferon therapy helps to reduce the growth of tumours and inhibit the replication of viruses. It also helps to improve the body’s natural response to infectious diseases by stimulating the production of antibodies. Interferon therapy is a relatively safe and effective treatment and has shown promise in treating a variety of cancers and in controlling symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
